Geneva's web marketGeneva is a huge hub of nonprofit and humanitarian organisations, and probably 75% of those are thinking about their next web site (or should be). Many of them need web tools to help them achieve strategic objectives. Because there is a such a high overhead to living in Geneva, the organisations here are all funded, which means there's a solid market for web sites. Yet there is no agency aiming specifically at the non-profits - nonprofits are paying the highest prices in the world for web site development. There is a city-wide network of IT decision makers and project managers who meet infrequently to keep themselves informed and listen to invited speakers. This is the Geneva Web Group. There is another network, more technical, called SwissW2. Both are free to join. I am working to build a network of freelancers targeting nonprofits, called the Geneva Web Collective. |
